Professor in Development Economics, received Ph.D from Georg August University of Goettingen (2005), BS and Master degree from IPB University. Various mandated positions have been carried out both on campus and off campus, such as Secretary of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB., Head of the Postgraduate Program in Economics (FEM-IPB), Director of the Center for Studies (Intercafe-International Center for Applied Finance and Economics-LPPM IPB), Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management IPB. Meanwhile, off-campus roles includes Member of the National Research Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Secretary to the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres-RI), member of the expert team for the National Movement for Mental Revolution. National Curator for UN Food System Summit Dialogue (UN-FSSD 2021).

Various awards from both national and international have been obtained, such as Semi Finalist Research Excellent from the Global Development Network in 2011, National Expert for Productivity from the Asian Productivity Organization in 2011. In 2009 he had the opportunity as a visiting researcher at the International Food Policy Research Institute. (IFPRI) Washington DC. And the year since 2012-present is a Visiting at the School of Economics Faculty of Profession, University of Adelaide. In 2014 he was awarded a Fellowship at the University of British Columbia. In 2017 he participated in the Future Leaders program from AIC in Australia. Starting from 2019-present, Prof. Nunung is also given the opportunity as a Senior Fellow at the Australia-Indonesia Center.
